The writing style in Romeo and Juliet is complex. Shakespeare uses different sentence forms, or syntax, in his writing. It means the same thing, but can be very confusing. Also sometimes, he will have the characters talk in rhyme or poetic forms. Such as when romeo is talking, the ends of his sentences will rhyme. Another part of the book is in a sonnet. Shakespeare also uses iambs in his writing to complete his style.
The characters in Romeo and Juliet are very interesting. Romeo was so heartbroken about Roseline, but the moment he sees Juliet, he forgets about her. I wouldn't think it would be that easy to get over someone. Juliet is only 12, and planning to get married. I find that way too young. I also don't think they would be in love after seeing each other one time. Benvolio seems to be very helpful and kind, and trying to make peace with people. The nurse is somewhat crazy, launching into a giant speech with no warning, and always watching over Juliet very closely.
The plot just started to introduce itself at the end up Act 1. Romeo and Juliet had just met, and already fallen in love. But they know they can not be together because of their family feud. even though they know that, they are willing to try. Also, the families got into a public fight, and were threatened by the Prince. This causes more tension because they know that they can not fight anymore, but they still keep the feud.
